Technologist Dr. Noor Azurati Ahmad@Salleh is an Associate Professor at Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Kuala Lumpur. She has a strong academic background, obtaining a B.Eng. in Computer Engineering and a Master of Electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, as well as a PhD in Embedded Systems from the University of Leicester, UK.
Dr. Azura has a diverse professional background, having worked as an engineer at Sapura Secured Technologies Sdn. Bhd under the Network Centric Operations (NCO) project. She was involved in SIRIM qualification testing for Sapura’s 3 military products, successfully obtaining SIRIM certifications within a short timeframe.
She has 20 years of experience in teaching related to embedded system’s architecture and real time operating system courses. Her research interests span a wide range of Cyber-Physical topics, including indoor positioning and cybersecurity. She won several innovation awards in Pecipta and Malaysia Technology Expos.
She is currently the Director of the Innovation and Commercialisation Centre (ICC) at Technovation Park, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Since 2018, she has demonstrated notable entrepreneurial skills as the deputy of ICC. Her efforts include working on various innovation and commercialisation policies, collaborating with Aberystwyth University and Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in Indonesia, and leading the development of the ICCubeX Incubator Program, which supports new researchers in technology transfer and commercialisation. She has also achieved international success in commercialising the ICCubeX Technology Transfer Modules.
